About Us

Our History

The Shine Women’s Center opened in August 2015 as a faith-based ministry dedicated to inspiring and empowering women to choose life and find hope through Jesus Christ!

Our New Location

This past Spring of 2023 we opened our doors to our new facility 170 Susquehanna Blvd, West Hazleton, PA 18202. If you haven't been here yet, please stop in to take a tour and learn more about Shine Women's Center.

She keeps the staff organized and up to date with all of the client information.  She makes data entry look fun!


  When you walk in the door and Karen is here, it is always a fun time!  She takes the time to listen and is willing to help process and work through any issue that may come up.

Philan has been with our Center since before it officially opened in 2015. When asked her favorite thing about the Center life, she answered, " I enjoy ministering to the girls and I enjoy fellowship with the volunteers." Philan has been with our Center since before it officially opened in 2015. When asked her favorite thing about the Center life, she answered, " I enjoy ministering to the girls and I enjoy fellowship with the volunteers." For quite a while Philan would go to the Lehigh Valley Hospital and visit the new moms and their babies. She would take them information from the Center and a basket filled with homemade baby hats. We appreciate you, Philan! Thanks so much for your longstanding service!

Betsy is the Shine Women's Center Prayer Warrior!  If you know Betsy, you know that she has probably prayed for you at one time or another.


We believe that prayer is the foundation of what we do at Shine and Betsy shows up almost every week to pray for us and with us.  She has joy in Jesus that is contagious!
